Trouble Shooting Your fax software

Check to make sure that all modems are on and have a phone line plugged in. Send a fax and listen for the modem you should hear it dial out or give a busy. Make sure that you do not have the port enable.

login as root
faxstat

To restart the fax job use
faxsend -k 422        422 is the job number

To delete the fax job use
faxsend -d 422        422 is the job number

For setup run faxconfig as root.
You may need to stop (10) and start(9) the fax server then test

SERVER CONFIGURATION
6             channels Modify FAX Channel(s) Configuration   <setup ports, headers, dial tones,etc. main configuration
7             fonts Modify FAX Text Font Configuration
8             server Modify Server Parameter Configuration  < setup number of retirees and wait time for retries
9             start Start FAX Server         
10           stop Stop FAX Server
