Using the fPserver Configuration Editor:

The properties settings for fPserver can be edited directly with the fPserver administration program. To edit either the prop.server file or any of the config.username property files:

first select Edit from the top menu:
Then either Server Configuration:

- OR -
User Configurations

Editing the fPserver properties file [prop.fpserver]:

Once you have selected Edit and then Server Configuration from the top menu as above, the Configuration Editor window will appear and it will contain the current contents of the prop.fpserver file:
You can then change any setting by clicking on the Value you want to change and editing the text. A new entry or change is not completed until enter is pressed.
You can save your changes by clicking on File and then save:
To exit the Configuration Editor select File then Exit using the editors top menu:

Editing the user properties files [config.username]:

Once you have selected Edit and then User Configuration from the top menu as above, the Load Property File dialog box will appear and it will contain a list of the config.username files:
Double click on the Property file you want to edit, and the Configuration Editor will bring up a window that contains a combined config.default and config.username edit window:

The displayed entries consist of the specified keys and values as well as any default entries which have not been overriden. When the entries are saved to a file only those entries which are additional to or different from the default entries will actually be written out to the file. You can then change any setting by clicking on the Value you want to change and editing the text. A new entry or change is not completed until enter is pressed. See how the Value you have selected to edit is enclosed in a thicker box and the property is highlighted:

If you decide you do not want to make the changes before you save them, you can select File then reset and all of the changes that you made will revert back to the original values:

You can save your changes by clicking on File and then save:

If you would like you can also load a config.username file, make changes to it, and save it to a different using the File then saveAS drop-down menu selection, the Save As Dialog box will appear and you can specify a different name:

and then click on Save.

To exit the Configuration Editor select File then Exit using the editors top menu:
